Responses for the June 2007 ICC-ES Evaluation Committee Meeting

Tuesday, June 5, 2007

  1. AC133—Steel Bar Reinforcement Reinforcing Bars. Revisions are proposed to update the criteria, clarify some of its sections, and address issues arising from cases of multiple manufacturing locations. click here for responses
  2. AC04—Sandwich Panels. Revisions are aimed at providing a uniform approach to evaluation of products used as shear walls resisting seismic forces. Other proposed revisions include updating the criteria and editorially clarifying some of its provisions. click here for responses
  1. AC17—Glass Glazed Unit Skylights and Sloped Glass Glazing. Following a period of public comment, revisions are proposed to update the criteria to the 2006 International Codes, to add provisions for PVC glazing retainers and frames, and to include specifications for weather-sealing materials. click here for responses
  2. AC16—Plastic Glazed Skylights. Following a period of public comment, revisions are proposed to revise conditions of acceptance for some testing, to include specifications for water-sealing materials, to limit use of skylights with plastic frames, and to update the criteria to the 2006 International Codes. click here for responses
  3. AC86—Cold-formed Steel Framing Members—Interior Nonload-bearing Wall Assemblies. Extensive revisions are proposed, based upon discussions at a meeting involving an industry task group and ICC-ES staff. click here for responses

  1. AC353—Stay-in-place, Foam Plastic Insulating Concrete Form (ICF) Systems for Solid Concrete Walls. A new criteria is proposed for ICFs used for jobsite construction of solid concrete walls, where the ICFs remain in place after concrete placement. An earlier version of this criteria was discussed at the June 2006 Evaluation Committee hearing. click here for responses
  2. AC193—Mechanical Anchors in Concrete Elements. Numerous issues have been raised by ICC-ES staff and industry that may require revisions to the criteria. click here for responses
  3. AC308—Post-installed Adhesive Anchors in Concrete Elements. Numerous issues have been raised by ICC-ES staff and industry. Several revisions are proposed to the criteria’s Annex A. click here for responses
  4. AC379—Fastening Systems for Use with Re-entrant-type Steel Deck Panel Profiles. A new criteria is proposed for fastening systems used with re-entrant-type steel deck panel profiles, with or without concrete fill. click here for responses
  5. AC15—Concrete Floor, Roof and Wall Systems and Concrete Masonry Wall Systems. Revisions are proposed to limit the application of this criteria for wall systems to certain seismic design categories and seismic zones. The criteria is also updated and editorially revised. click here for responses
  6. AC375—Field-constructed Fireplace Systems Using Prefabricated Blocks. A proposed new acceptance criteria applies to fireplace systems (fireplace unit and chimney) that are assembled in the field using prefabricated blocks of either refractory masonry or reinforced precast lightweight concrete masonry. click here for responses
  7. AC275—Glass Fiber Lath Used in Cementitious Exterior Wall Coatings, Exterior Cement Plaster (Stucco) or Precast Stone Veneers. Revisions are proposed to update the criteria to the 2006 International Codes and, in line with a request from a report applicant, to add use of glass fiber lath in exterior stucco supporting precast stone veneer. click here for responses

  1. AC378—Fiber-cement Interior Substrate Sheets Used in Wet and Dry Areas. A new criteria is proposed for reinforced cementitious substrate sheets complying with ASTM C 1288, and used as interior sheathing boards and membranes. click here for responses
  2. AC376—Reinforced Cementitious Sheets Used as Sheathing. A new criteria is proposed for reinforced cementitious sheets complying with ASTM C 1325, and used as exterior sheathing boards and interior membranes. click here for responses
  3. AC367—Reinforced Cementitious Flat Sheets Used as Subfloor or Single Floor Panels. After a period of public comment, a new criteria is proposed for flat sheets as described, used as panels for subfloors or single floors. Input is needed from industry. click here for responses
  4. AC269—Racking Shear Evaluation of Proprietary Sheathing Materials Used as Braced Wall Panels. Revisions are proposed to clarify anchor bolt size and spacing requirements, and to remove from the criteria certain seismic design categories. click here for responses
  1. AC11—Cementitious Exterior Wall Coatings. The criteria is on the agenda so staff may to seek input regarding drainage requirements when cementitious exterior wall coatings are installed on solid-sheathed, framed assemblies using foam plastic insulation board. click here for responses
