Responses for the February 2010 ICC-ES Evaluation Committee Meeting (received at meeting)

Tuesday, February 2, 2010

  1. AC365 Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Building-integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) Roof Panels. Revisions are proposed to include requirements for BIPV roof modules components to either single-ply membranes or metal roof panel roof covering systems. This subject was previously considered by the Evaluation Committee in October 2009. Click here for responses.
  1. AC423 Proposed Acceptance Criteria for a Low Profile, Raised Deck System Installed Over a Roof Assembly or Exterior Structural Floor Substrate. A new criteria is proposed raised-deck systems used over a roof assembly or over an exterior structural floor substrate to provide a level walking surface. Click here for responses.

  2. AC203 Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Zinc Borate (ZB) Preservative Treatment of Structural Composite Lumber by Non-Pressure Processes. Revisions are proposed to address the 2009 International Codes and to expand the scope of the criteria to include any structural composite wood product, not just lumber. Click here for responses.

  3. AC421 — Proposed Acceptance Criteria for Vertically-acting Egress Fire-door Assemblies. A new criteria is proposed to evaluate vertically-acting egress fire-door assemblies. Click here for responses.

  1. AC391 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Continuous Rod Tie-Down Assemblies. Revisions proposed are a complete re-write of the acceptance criteria to limit the use of continuous rod tie-down assemblies to applications in which they resist wind uplift forces only (eliminating their use in resisting wind and seismic shear wall overturning forces), to add provisions for evaluating a continuous rod tie-down system and to include provisions that would limit deflections allowed in the top plate. 1. AC193 Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Mechanical Anchors in Concrete Elements. Revisions are proposed to update Table 7.1 of the criteria to bring it into agreement with Table 11.6 of AC308, to consider revisions to Annex 1, Section 8.5, Section 8.7, Section 9.2.2, Table 11.1 and Table 11.2 as proposed by CAMA, and to consider revisions to Section 3.1 and Annex Sections 9.1, 9.6, 9.8, 9.9, 10.3, 10.5 and 10.6 as proposed by the ICC-ES staff. Click here for responses.

  2. AC422 Proposed Acceptance Criteria for Continuous and Semi-continuous Fiber-Reinforced Grid Connectors Anchored in Concrete. A new criteria is proposed to evaluate continuous and semi-continuous fiber-reinforced grid connectors used to transfer shear stresses in insulated concrete sandwich panels. Click here for responses.

  3. AC43 Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Steel Deck Roof and Floor Systems. Revisions are proposed to update the criteria to the 2009 International Codes, to remove the Uniform Building Code (UBC) from the criteria, to update and remove certain referenced standards and specifications, to change provisions relating to fasteners, to remove provisions that allow use of the Tri Services Manual and to change provisions regarding web crippling tests. Click here for responses.
  1. AC425 — Proposed Acceptance Criteria for Cold-Formed Steel Structural Beams Acting Compositely with Cast-In-Place Concrete Slabs. A new criteria is proposed to evaluate cold-formed steel structural beams acting compositely with cast-in-place concrete slabs. Click here for responses.

  1. AC125 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Concrete and Reinforced and Unreinforced Masonry Strengthening Using Externally Bonded Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (FRP) Composite Systems. Revisions are proposed to update the criteria to the 2009 International Codes and the ACI 440.2R document. Click here for responses.
