Revisions are proposed to address the 2009 International Codes and to revise the conditions of acceptance of the mortar durability tests of Section 3.2.2.2. Click here.
  2. AC232 — Proposed Acceptance Criteria for Anchor Channels in Concrete Elements. A new criteria is proposed for anchor channels in concrete which will address application, design and installation by considering the performance of the anchorage, the steel channel, and the steel boat or screw. This subject was previously considered by the Evaluation Committee in October 2003. This version has been completely revised. Click here.
  3. AC422 — Proposed Acceptance Criteria for Continuous and Semicontinuous Fiber-reinforced Grid Connectors Used in the Combination with Rigid Insulation in Concrete Sandwich Panel Construction. A new criteria is proposed for continuous or semicontinuous fiber-reinforced grid connectors that are combined with rigid insulation to transfer shear stresses in insulated concrete sandwich panels. This subject was previously considered by the Evaluation Committee in February 2010. Click here.
  4. AC377 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Spray-applied Foam Plastic Insulation. Revisions are proposed to address the 2009 International Codes, to revise Section 3.3.3.1 to include a provision on the location of the gas burner, and to add a new Section 3.3.3.2.4 concerning the location of the wood crib. Click here.
  5. AC259 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Pneumatic- or Gas-power-driven Pin Fasteners Used to Attach Gypsum Panels to Cold-formed Steel Framing. Revisions are proposed to revise the title of the criteria, to address the 2009 International Codes, to revise the requirements of Section 3.1.3 concerning documenting the properties of the gypsum sheathing used in the testing, to permit small-scale testing and analysis to establish pullout and pull-through strength values, and to revise the ASTM standards referenced in the AC for gypsum board. This subject was previously considered by the Evaluation Committee in February 2010. Click here.
  6. AC217 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Concrete with Virgin Cellulose Fibers. Revisions are proposed to address the 2009 International Codes and to revise Section A7.0 of Annex A to change the conditions of acceptance for the plastic shrinkage crack testing. Click here.
  7. AC59 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Direct-applied Exterior Finish Systems (DEFS). Revisions are proposed to consider the use of elastomeric-type direct-applied coating systems on exterior grade plywood substrates. Click here.
  8. AC416 — Proposed Acceptance Criteria for Fiber-reinforced Polymer (FRP) Composite Systems Used to Form a Lateral Force-resisting System from Wood- or Cold-formed Steel Framed Shear Walls. A new criteria is proposed which includes modifications resulting from review of the February 2010 alternate agenda. The criteria applies to passive FRP composite systems used to form shear walls from existing wood- and cold-formed steel frame walls. Click here.

  1. MISC 1 — Proposed Policy Concerning the Acceptance of Newer Editions of Design Specifications. This item has been placed on the Evaluation Committee agenda to seek input from the Evaluation Committee on whether an evaluation reports can be issued based on editions of design standards (design specifications) newer than those reverenced in the International Codes. Click here.
  2. MISC 2 — Proposed Revisions to All Acceptance Criteria that involve Steel Ordered to Manufacturers Specifications. This item has been placed on the Evaluation Committee agenda to discuss issues relative to steel ordered or produced to a manufacturer’s specification (that is, an applicant’s published specification). Click here.
  3. AC43 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Steel Deck Roof and Floor Systems. Revisions are proposed to update the criteria to the 2009 International Codes, to remove the Uniform Building Code (UBC) from the criteria, to update and remove certain referenced standards and specifications, to change provisions relating to fasteners, and to change provisions regarding web crippling tests. This subject was previously considered by the Evaluation Committee in February 2010. Click here.
  4. AC118 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Tapping Screw Fasteners. Revisions are proposed to update the criteria to the 2009 International Codes, to remove the Uniform Building Code (UBC) from the criteria and to make changes needed to correlate with AC43. This subject was previously considered by the Evaluation Committee in February 2010. Click here.
  5. AC391 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Continuous Rod Tie-down Assemblies Used to Resist Wind Uplift. Revisions are proposed to incorporate provisions that would extend the criteria to allow evaluations to be performed on continuous rod tie-down systems which would include both the continuous rod tie-down assembly and the wood framing through which wind loads are transferred to the rods. Click here.
  6. AC316 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Shrinkage Compensating Devices. Revisions are proposed to simplify testing of the tension-controlled shrinkage compensating devices and staff seeks input on establishing a load and resistance factor design capacity for the devices and how to address slippage situations that have been observed in testing these devices. Click here.
  7. AC155 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Hold-down (Tie-downs) Attached to Wood Members. Revisions are proposed to update the criteria to the 2009 International Codes and to correct contradictions and eliminate ambiguities within the current provisions. Click here.

  1. AC233 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Alternate Dowel-type Threaded Fasteners. Revisions are proposed that would allow the sample size to be reduced in cases where a five percent precision of estimate at 95 percent confidence is achieved, to require fastener pull-through capacities be expressed in units of pounds rather than pounds per inch of side member thickness, and to add a requirement that the evaluation report state that the structural members at a connection must also be checked for their load carrying capacity. Click here.
