  4. AC262 — Horizontal Diaphragms Consisting of Wood Structural Panel Sheathing Attached to Cold-formed Steel Framing. Revisions are proposed to update the criteria to address the 2009 International Codes; to update the referenced standards; to expand the analysis section to include analysis of test results for single-fastener connection shear tests; and to identify fastener details and the diaphragm deflection equation that are to be published in the evaluation report. Click here.

  5. AC70 — Fasteners Power-driven into Concrete, Steel and Masonry Elements. Revisions are proposed to address the need to include requirements for fasteners attaching wood structural panel diaphragms to structural steel supports. Click here.

  6. AC120 — Wood Screws Used in Horizontal Diaphragms and Vertical Shear Walls. Revisions are proposed to revise the title to include braced walls so that the title more accurately reflects the scope of the criteria; to update the criteria to address the 2006 and 2009 International Codes; to update referenced standards; to clarify definitions of types and grades of wood structural panels; to address wood screws used in shear walls and braced walls in Seismic Design Categories above Category B; to address LRFD factored shear capacity; to revise the requirement for full-scale static-load testing; to clarify that test specimens for the side-by-side comparative test are cut from the same unit of panels and lumbers; to revise Section 4.2.3 as it relates to the required number of tests; to revise Section 4.3.1 by incorporating requirements found in AC230 and AC116 and revise Sections 4.4 through 4.7 to coordinate with these changes; to clarify that mean slip value at peak load is to be used for the purpose of comparison; to revise Section 4.6.1 to reference ASTM D 1037 in lieu of ASTM D 1761; and to revise Section 6 to include basic product information, end use of the products, and special inspection requirements. Click here.

  7. AC269 — Racking Shear Evaluation of Proprietary Sheathing Materials Attached to Light-frame Wall Construction or Code-complying Sheathing Attached to Light-framed Walls with Proprietary Fasteners. Revisions are proposed to Section 4.1.7 to allow wet-conditioned sheathings to be air dried for up to seven days before testing if the sheathing is to be covered with a water-resistive barrier while in use, to revise Section 4.2.7 to require that the test specimens be conditioned as outlined in Section 4.1.7 unless the sheathing has been qualified under Section 3.3.1 as an alternate to bracing Method 3, and to raise the question as to how to best account for conditioning in the testing required by Section 4.3. Click here.

  8. AC417 — 1/2-inch Sag-Resistant Gypsum Ceiling Board Installed with Two-part Polyurethane Adhesive. Revisions are proposed to add provisions to allow the use of mechanical fasteners to attach the ceiling boards (along with an accompanying change to the title of the criteria), to enhance the deflection criteria of boards used in applications involving mechanical fasteners, and to make needed clarifications and editorial changes. Click here.

Thursday February 10, 2011

  1. AC02 — Reflective Foil Insulation. Revisions are proposed to delete reference to the legacy codes, to update terminology to that consistent with the 2009 IBC, to revise Section to be in agreement with Sections 719 and 2613 if the 2009 IBC, to revise Section to allow mounting of the ASTM E 84 test specimens in accordance with ASTM E 2599, and to remove the requirement concerning testing of configurations of the test specimens that are beyond those specified in the test standard. Click here.

  2. AC306 — Pin-connected Open-web Trusses with Wood Chords with Tubular Steel Webs. Revisions are proposed to update the criteria to address the 2009 International Codes, to include provisions for angular steel web members (along with an accompanying change in title), and to address public comments received during alternative agenda postings. Click here.

  3. AC430 —  Proposed Acceptance Criteria for Deck Harness Devices and Assemblies for Residential Decks. A new criteria is proposed for proprietary deck harness devices and assemblies for residential decks as an alternative hold-down-tension devices prescribed in Section R502.2.2.3 of the 2009 International Residential Code® (IRC). Click here.

  4. AC47 — Structural Wood-based Products. The proposed revisions involve adding provisions for the evaluation of acetylated wood used as deck boards and guardrail systems to the criteria. Click here.
