  1. MISC1 — Proposed Test Method for the Evaluation of Fire-resistance Rating of Horizontal Shutters. This item outlines the ICC-ES staff’s interpretation of the test method required to evaluate the performance of horizontal rolling fire shutters. Click here.

  2. AC438 Proposed Acceptance Criteria for Flexible Steep-slope Asphalt Composite Roofing Shingles. A new criteria proposed to set forth requirements for asphalt composite shingles that do not meet all of the prescriptive requirements of ASTM D 3462. Click here.

  3. AC365 — Propose Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Building-integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) Roof Modules and Panels. Revisions are proposed to update the criteria to 2012 codes, to incorporate the BIPV shingles/module requirements of the 2012 codes, and to apply the 2012 code requirements for BIPV roof shingles/modules to all BIPV roof products currently covered by the criteria.   4. AC358 Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Helical Foundation Systems and Devices. Revisions are proposed to update the criteria to the 2012 and 2009 codes, revise the title, and to incorporate revisions proposed by the Helical Pile Adhoc Committee. Click here.

  5. AC179 Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Metallic HVAC Duct Enclosure Assemblies. Revisions are proposed to update the criteria to the 2009 and 2012 codes and to adopt a new ASTM test standard, ASTM E 2816, which was developed specifically for applications noted in this criteria.   1. AC261 Proposed Revisions to Acceptance Criteria for Connectors Used with Cold-formed Steel Structural Members. Revisions are proposed to the criteria as a result of comments received from the committee during the December 2010 Alternate Agenda revision process. Except for changes proposed to Section 4.2 which will place a lower bound on how much under the specified yield point and specified thickness a test specimen can be, the ICC-ES staff considers these revisions to be editorial in nature.   2. AC378 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Fiber-cement Interior Substrate Sheets Used in Wet and Dry Areas. Revisions are proposed to expand the scope of the criteria to include use of the products in exterior applications and to add ASTM E 330 as an alternate test method to determine resistance to transverse loads.   3. AC70 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Fasteners Power-driven into Concrete, Steel and Masonry Elements. Revisions are proposed to update the criteria to the 2012 codes; include a seismic qualification tests for fasteners placed in structural steel to remove limitations in ASCE 7-10 and permit increased loading; to partially reinstate Table 2 from earlier editions of the criteria to address sill plate attachments, to stipulate a minimum default embedment for fasteners placed into concrete; to add specifications for ceiling wires used with ceiling clip fasteners; and to require that multiple fasteners be used for any connection.   1. AC269.1 Proposed Acceptance Criteria for Proprietary Sheathing, Jobsite-attached to Wood Light-framed Wall Construction Used as Braced Wall Panels under the IRC. A new criteria is proposed which will update the wall bracing provisions for wood frame construction of AC269 to the 2009 IRC. A prior edition of this criteria was posted on the ICC-ES website for public comment using the June 2011 alternative criteria process. Click here.
  1. AC434 Proposed Acceptance Criteria for Masonry and Concrete Strengthening Using Fiber-reinforced Cementitious Matrix (FRCM) Composite Systems. A new criteria is proposed for evaluating fiber-reinforced cementitious matrix (FRCM) composite systems that are used to strengthen existing masonry and concrete structural elements. Click here.

  2. AC436 Proposed Acceptance Criteria for Seismic Performance of Light Frame Lateral Force Resisting Assemblies. A new criteria is proposed to replace portions of existing ICC-ES acceptance criteria relating to seismic equivalence of prefabricated lateral force resisting vertical assemblies (LFRVAs) or LFRVAs of alternative light-frame construction that consist of unique configurations, or components, to load bearing shear walls of light-frame construction.   1. AC12 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Foam Plastic Insulation. Revisions are proposed to the criteria which would allow recognition of thermal resistance (R-values) higher than that stated in the applicable standard. Click here.
