  1. AC07 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Special Roofing Systems. Revisions are proposed to update the criteria to include the 2012 codes, add a section to establish requirements for interlocking tiles consisting of an expanded polystyrene (EPS) core and a cementitious coating, clarify manufacturing and listing requirements for roof underlayments in fire classified systems, and clarify the requirement for a qualifying inspection. MISC 1— Proposed Revisions to Acceptance Criteria for Water-resistive Barriers and Exterior Wall Coverings When used in Noncombustible Construction under the New Provisions of the 2012 IBC Section 1403.5. This item has been placed on the Evaluation Committee agenda to seek input from the Evaluation Committee and interested parties concerning ICC-ES acceptance criteria and water-resistive barriers contained in exterior wall assemblies of buildings of Type I, II, III, and IV construction.   1. AC358 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Helical Foundation Systems and Devices. Revisions are proposed to update the criteria to the 2012 and 2009 codes, revise the title, and to incorporate new revisions proposed by the Helical Pile Adhoc Committee Group. Portions of this subject were previously considered by the Evaluation Committee in October 2011. Click here.
  1. AC77 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Smoke Containment Systems Used with Fire-resistance-rated Elevator Hoistway Doors and Frames. Revisions are proposed to include requirements for the evaluation of a new proprietary curtain system, revise the title of the criteria to clarify the use of the products covered by the criteria, and revise the scope of the criteria to clarify that the curtain systems are not to be used as a component of a required means of egress from any other part of the building.   1. AC232 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Anchor Channels in Concrete Elements. Revisions are proposed to update the criteria to include the 2012 codes and to revise the requirements for special inspections in Section 5.4, Section 5.5, and Annex A, Section 10.3. Click here.
  1. AC193 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Mechanical Anchors in Concrete Elements. Revisions are proposed to the evaluation of post-installed mechanical anchors tested per Annex A Section 9.2 for two edges (corner), add additional language to clarify the intent that post-installed anchors installed through the soffit of concrete-filled metal deck floor and roof assemblies shall be qualified for use in both cracked and uncracked concrete, and to revise the requirements for special inspections in Sections 5.4 and 5.5 of the criteria.   1. AC316 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Shrinkage Compensating Devices, Subject AC316-0612-R2 (BG/JS). Revisions are proposed to include a provision limiting the vertical displacement of tie-down systems and add provisions requiring additional testing of tension-controlled shrinkage compensating devices (TCSCD) using steel rods with tensile strengths not exceeding 120 percent of the specified strength of the rod grade to be recognized in the evaluation report to address whether the softer steel has any potential for stripping when connected to the TCSCD.   1. AC413 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Steel Cable and Fitting Assemblies (SCFAs) for Seismic Sway Bracing of Nonstructural Components. Revisions are proposed to update the criteria to include the 2012 codes, clarify a number of provisions in the criteria, remove the second condition of acceptance for fittings under section 3.4.2.3, modify the load factors noted in IBC Section 2208.2, and update the quality control requirements to reflect changes made to AC304.   1. AC118 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Tapping Screw Fasteners. Revisions are proposed to update the criteria to include the 2012 codes; address the 2009 and 2006 codes within the same edition of the criteria and delete requirements for recognition under the UBC; address the use of the tapping screw fasteners in aluminum-to-aluminum and aluminum-to-steel connections; provide better explanations on how the screws are evaluated; reflect information contained in typical evaluation reports on tapping screws; and update the quality control requirements to reflect changes made to AC304.   1. AC14 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Prefabricated Wood I-joists. Revisions are proposed to replace Section A4.4 of the criteria in its entirety to provide more explicit direction for establishing equivalence to the wood floor assembly described in 2012 IRC Section R501.3, Exception 4.   1. AC262 Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Horizontal Diaphragms Consisting of Wood Structural Panel Sheathing Attached to Cold-formed Steel Framing. Revisions are proposed to update the criteria to include the 2009 and 2012 codes, clarify how to obtain recognition under this criteria, and make the criteria more consistent with AC230. Click here.
  1. AC416 Proposed Acceptance Criteria for Enhanced Light Frame Shear Walls Using Glass Fiber-reinforced Polymer (GFRP) Composite Systems. A new criteria is proposed to address the requirements for glass fiber-reinforced polymer (GFRP) composite systems applied to existing light-framed shear walls.   1. AC440 — Proposed Acceptance Criteria for Seismic Design Parameters for Lateral-Force-Resisting Vertical Wood Truss Wall Assemblies. A new criteria is proposed to provide requirements confirming the use on metal-plated wooden trusses, referred to as wood truss wall assemblies (WRWA) as substitutes for in-plane shear-resisting vertical components (shear walls) of an otherwise code-complying lateral force-resisting system.   1. AC269.2 Proposed Acceptance Criteria for Proprietary Sheathing Jobsite-attached to Wood Light-frame Wall Construction Used as Shear Walls. A new criteria is proposed to address requirements for the evaluation of proprietary sheathing under the 2009 and 2012 IBC and IRC for the sheathing jobsite-attached to wood light-frame construction for use as shear walls.   1. AC66 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Fire-retardant-treated Wood. Revisions are proposed to update the criteria to include the 2012 codes, update editions of referenced standards, allow the use of a new standard (ASTM E 2768) for extended duration burn tests, allow the use of UL 723 and UL 263 as alternatives to ASTM E 84 and ASTM E 119 respectively, delete the requirement to label the product with the month and year of treatment, add a new section for the evaluation of fire-resistance-rated assemblies using FRT lumber and plywood, add a new section for the evaluation of FRT plywood for use in shear wall assemblies, and update the quality control requirements to reflect changes made to AC304.   1. AC433 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Liquid Borate Decay and Termite Resistant Treatment Applied to Wood Members. Revisions are proposed to update the criteria to include the 2012 codes, include two new AWPA standards, allow the use of AWPA E26 as an alternative to AWPA E21, add a new section which will require strength testing in accordance with Section 4.5 of AC326, update the quality control requirements to reflect changes made to AC304, add wording to clarify segregation of nonconforming material, and add a new section concerning AWPA M22 compliance.
