  2. MISC 1— Proposed Revisions to Acceptance Criteria for Water-resistive Barriers and Exterior Wall Coverings When used in Noncombustible Construction under the New Provisions of the 2012 IBC Section 1403.5. This item has been placed on the Evaluation Committee agenda to seek input from the Evaluation Committee and interested parties concerning ICC-ES acceptance criteria and water-resistive barriers contained in exterior wall assemblies of buildings of Type I, II, III, and IV construction. Click here.
  1. AC179 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Metallic HVAC Duct Enclosures Assemblies. Revisions are proposed to add new Sections 3.7 and 5.6 related to the use of the enclosure materials to protect ducts used in pressurization systems in stairway and elevator hoistways under IBC Sections 909.20.5 and 909.21.3, respectively. Click here.

  2. AC101 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Grease Duct Enclosure Assemblies. Revisions are proposed to change the scope of the criteria to address segmented grease duct systems that are alternatives to those specified in Section 506.3 of the IMC. Click here.
  1. AC443Proposed Acceptance Criteria for Screw Foundation Systems (SFSs). A new criteria is proposed to address requirements for the evaluation of screw foundation systems (SFSs), which are factory manufactured steel foundations consisting of a central shaft with helical-shaped screw threads and a top connection device to allow for attachment to the supported structures. Click here.

  2. AC77 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Smoke Containment Systems Used with Fire-resistance-rated Elevator Hoistway Doors and Frames. Revisions are proposed to include requirements for the evaluation of a new proprietary curtain system, revise the title of the criteria to clarify the use of the products covered by the criteria, and revise the scope of the criteria to clarify that the curtain systems are not to be used as a component of a required means of egress from any other part of the building. 1. AC232 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Anchor Channels in Concrete Elements. Revisions are proposed to update the criteria to include the 2012 codes and to revise the requirements for special inspections in Section 5.4, Section 5.5, and Annex A, Section 10.3. Click here.

  2. AC193 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Mechanical Anchors in Concrete Elements. Revisions are proposed to the evaluation of post-installed mechanical anchors tested per Annex A Section 9.2 for two edges (corner), add additional language to clarify the intent that post-installed anchors installed through the soffit of concrete-filled metal deck floor and roof assemblies shall be qualified for use in both cracked and uncracked concrete, and to revise the requirements for special inspections in Sections 5.4 and 5.5 of the criteria. Click here.

  3. AC429 Proposed Acceptance Criteria for High Strength Reinforcing Bars. A new criteria is proposed to address requirements for the evaluation of high strength reinforcing bars as tension, compression, shear, torsion and confinement reinforcement for structural concrete. The criteria will allow use of these reinforcing bars beyond that currently recognized by the code based on extensive studies and the requirements outlined in the criteria. Click here.

  4. AC316 Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Shrinkage Compensating Devices, Subject AC316-0612-R2 (BG/JS). Revisions are proposed to include a provision limiting the vertical displacement of tie-down systems and add provisions requiring additional testing of tension-controlled shrinkage compensating devices (TCSCD) using steel rods with tensile strengths not exceeding 120 percent of the specified strength of the rod grade to be recognized in the evaluation report to address whether the softer steel has any potential for stripping when connected to the TCSCD. These proposals were introduced under the April 2012 alternative agenda process. Click here.

  1. AC14 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Prefabricated Wood I-joists. Revisions are proposed to replace Section A4.4 of the criteria in its entirety to provide more explicit direction for establishing equivalence to the wood floor assembly described in 2012 IRC Section R501.3, Exception 4. Click here.
  1. AC440 — Proposed Acceptance Criteria for Seismic Design Parameters for Lateral-Force-Resisting Vertical Wood Truss Wall Assemblies. A new criteria is proposed to provide requirements confirming the use on metal-plated wooden trusses, referred to as wood truss wall assemblies (WRWA) as substitutes for in-plane shear-resisting vertical components (shear walls) of an otherwise code-complying lateral force-resisting system. This subject was previously considered by the Evaluation Committee in February 2012. Click here.

  2. AC269.2 Proposed Acceptance Criteria for Proprietary Sheathing Jobsite-attached to Wood Light-frame Wall Construction Used as Shear Walls. A new criteria is proposed to address requirements for the evaluation of proprietary sheathing under the 2009 and 2012 IBC and IRC for the sheathing jobsite-attached to wood light-frame construction for use as shear walls. This criteria was introduced in June 2011 and February 2012 under the alternative agenda process. Click here.
