  1. AC232 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Anchor Channels in Concrete Elements. Revisions are proposed to clarify seismic provisions and exceptions for simulated tension and shear tests; revise the design section regarding the spacing of channel bolts; revise the design sections for anchor reinforcement; add provisions for the determination of ductile or brittle classification for Vsl,x and Vsl,x,seis; and clarify the marking requirements for anchor channels.   2. AC308 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Post-installed Adhesive Anchors in Concrete Elements. Revisions are proposed to revise Sections 7.18.3.1 and 10.12.1 of Annex 1 to verify that consistent results are obtained for the sensitivity to installation direction for all combinations of adhesive and delivery systems and add Section 11.2.7 to Annex 1 so that a statement is placed in evaluation reports to clarify whether or not the optional tension tests at decreased installation temperature conditions (found in Sections 8.6.2.3 and 10.14.4 of Annex 1) have been conducted and requirements met. Revisions to Sections 7.18.3.1 and 10.12.1 of Annex 1 concerning the same subject were considered previously by the Evaluation Committee in June 2016, but were withdrawn due to public comments.   3. AC13 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Joist Hangers and Similar Devices. Revisions are proposed to revise Section 3.3.2 of the criteria and add an Annex 1 to provide a set of procedures for analyzing and adjusting existing data developed from testing in accordance with ASTM D1761 so that the allowable design values developed per these procedures can be considered as being equivalent to allowable design values developed in accordance with ASTM D7147, the standard referenced in the 2015 codes.   4. AC471 — Proposed New Acceptance Criteria for Pulverized Glass Pozzolan for Use in Concrete. A new criteria is proposed to establish requirements for the evaluation of pulverized glass pozzolan as an alternative to ASTM C618 Class F fly ash for use in structural concrete. Click here.

  5. AC237 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Threaded High-Strength Steel Bars for Concrete Reinforcement. Revisions are proposed to revise Sections 1.1 and 1.2 to remove an inconsistency between the sections, remove the bar placement limitation in Section 1.2.8, clarify the applicability of Option 2 for determination of yield strength in Section 3.2.1, and make other minor clarifications.   6. AC365 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Building-integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) Roof Covering Systems. Revisions are proposed to update the criteria to the 2015 Codes and add provisions to recognize the installation of adhered BIPV roof modules on existing single-ply membranes, existing smooth surfaced built-up roofs (without gravel or gravel removed), existing metal roof panels, and new and existing modified bitumen membranes.   7. AC358 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Helical Pile Systems and Devices. Revisions are proposed to expand the range of helical piles for axial resistance by introducing an empirical formula for Kt values, which is applicable to conforming and nonconforming helical piles with an effective shaft diameter up to 4.5 inches. Revisions are proposed to update the criteria to the 2015 Codes; delete the 2006 Codes and legacy codes; update the editions of standards referenced in the criteria; add language to Section 3.1 to clarify requirements when computer programs are used to generate calculations provided in support of a report application; revise Section 3.3 to clarify requirements for determining allowable loads for web members; revise Section 6.2 to clarify the requirements from AISI S100 that apply; revise Section B2.0 to make it work with revisions made to Section 3.3; and various editorial revisions.   11. AC124 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Rim Board Products. Revisions are proposed to update the criteria to the 2015 Codes, the main result being replacing most of the testing, performance, and durability requirements of the criteria with testing and analysis in accordance with ASTM D7672, which is a new standard now referenced in the 2015 codes.
