Tuesday, February 7, 2017

  1. AC383 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Polyolefin Chopped Strands for Use in Concrete. Revisions are proposed to include a reference to standard SDI-C; revise Section 3.1.1 to include a recommendation that a test plan be submitted to ICC-ES prior to conducting any testing; revise Section 4.1 to include mixture proportioning modifications that will allow a better analysis of the performance of the polyolefin fibers that may be used in higher doses; combine Sections 4.4 and 4.5 for clarity and delete reference to ASTM C78 in Sections 1.3.5 and 4.4, requiring the flexural strength testing to be done under the revised Section 4.5 and ASTM D1609; and delete Section 4.8.3 and reference to ASTM C156 in Sections 1.3.6.
