  1. AC232 —Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Anchor Channels in Concrete Elements. Revisions are proposed to revise requirements for special inspections, revise the reduction factor for channel lip strength for closely spaced channel bolts, reduce the minimum height of channel to anchor embedment ratio, and revise provisions for conducting shear tests in the perpendicular to the channel axis direction.Click here.

  2. AC398 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Cast-in-Place Cold-Formed Steel Connectors in Concrete for Light-Frame Construction. Revisions are proposed to add provisions for the evaluation of column base connectors that are rated to resist moment, add provisions for the evaluation of column base connectors that are rated for downward axial load, add provisions to require testing of connectors in all load directions for which capacities are to be included in the evaluation report, and include editorial and other clarifying revisions.   3. AC490 — Proposed New Acceptance Criteria for Concrete and Reinforced and Unreinforced Masonry Strengthening Using Externally Bonded Steel Reinforced Polymer (SRP) Composite Systems. A new criteria is proposed to establish requirements for the evaluation of passive steel-reinforced polymer (SRP) systems used to strengthen existing concrete and masonry structural elements.   4. AC438 — Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Alternative Asphalt Roofing Shingles. Revisions are proposed to remove the implication that asphalt coating must be applied to both sides of the felt (current language already requires the felt to be encapsulated with asphalt coating) and to require the non-weathering side of the shingles to be manufactured or coated in a manner that prevents them from sticking together in the packaging.   5. AC47 —Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Structural Wood-based Products. Revisions are proposed to revise the adjustment factor used to account for potential changes in toughness (brittleness) brought on by the wood modification since it appears that the current methodology over-compensates for the effect the modification has on the wood.   6. AC273 —Proposed Revisions to the Acceptance Criteria for Handrails and Guards. Revisions are proposed to remove provisions for wood handrail and guard systems; remove provisions related to the UBC; replace references to European standards with applicable ASTM standards and revise provisions within the criteria to align with these standards; clarify post-to-substrate attachment provisions; add provisions for the evaluation of posts that are different from those in tested assemblies and revise requirements for testing top rail-to-post connections at corners to align with the guard assembly load testing provisions.   7. AC469 —Proposed New Acceptance Criteria for Girder Clamp Assemblies in Structural Steel Connections. A new criteria is proposed to establish requirements for the evaluation of girder clamp assemblies used to resist axial tension loads and slip loads in structural steel connections.
