Educational Presentation for Chapters
ICC-ES has developed an educational presentation that can be used as a technical source for code officials for approving new and innovative products. The need for this tool has been discovered through a research survey launched in 2006 targeting code enforcement professionals nationwide. The survey results indicated that eighty percent of code officials prefer ICC-ES evaluation reports, but also showed that there is a need for providing education in the form of training, seminars, etc. about how to use the reports. Furthermore, results indicated that respondents would like to be educated on where to find the reports and how to access them. To support code officials nationwide and provide the education needed, a presentation has been created and is offered to chapters at no cost.
