The evaluation process results in a report or listing on code compliance, which is available free of charge to code officials, contractors, specifiers, architects, engineers, and anyone else with an interest in the building industry and construction. Why ICC-ES? Why Now?
ICC-ES has established its trustworthiness among Florida building officials who recognize ICC-ES as the preeminent resource for evaluation reports. In fact, recently passed legislation confirms that ICC-ES is an approved evaluation entity in the state since the inception of the mandatory product approval system and prior to that as one of the three MCO's. As a result of this legislation, ICC-ES report holders can use ICC-ES Evaluation Reports as the technical basis for their applications when they seek statewide approval with the Florida Building Commission.
